I am back home in India and it feels good. My trip so far has been hectic. Today is my first day to chill at home and I thought I’ll upload and also check out what all my contacts have been upto on flickr.

It has been forever since I logged into wordpress. I’ve been shooting but for some weird reason I have been putting off uploading.I guess I am reaching new levels of laziness. 🙂
I shot with a model who is also a Make-up artist last week. She was easy to work with and very co-operative. I had a blast shooting with her. I also learned that I really need to start carrying a reflector to shoots because the Colorado sun is extremely harsh!
I have an exciting week ahead of me. A road trip to Dallas and then a long vacation in India. Yay 🙂

The past few weeks have been weird. I’ve been sick of my 365 and photography. So much that I did not even take my camera along when people came to visit us! I never do that 😦
I am torn between not wanting to let this 365 ruin my love for photography and not wanting to give up.
Maybe it is not giving up . Maybe it is about realizing that I shouldn’t treat photography like the other parts of my life where there are rules, deadlines and commitments. Maybe it should be just about doing what I love when I want to.
Maybe it is about realizing that while this project pushes some towards giving their best, I want to shoot by impulse.
While I write this I am realizing how I can no longer call my 365 a 365 because I’ve missed way too many days to catch up 🙂 .I am glad I started it though. It gave me a sense of purpose and fulfillment when I needed one badly. I was very enthusiastic at the start and did get some photos that I love and am proud of.
Anyways, think it’s time I stopped my rant 🙂
Yesterday, I had this sudden urge to take a photo. I biked to a spot that I had in mind and took this.
It has been so long since I did a self portrait without my husband or Frodo with me. I was shy all over again 🙂 I’ve realized it is the model part that makes me conscious. I couldn’t care less about who is watching when I am just behind the camera 🙂
I stumbled upon this show called “Art star” ,but couldn’t watch it. Anyone seen it? Is it good?
Day 56/365
I wanted to use my back and feet to climb the doorway like I used to when I was a kid in India. But,the wall behind me made a few noises when I leaned back. So, I decided to go in a different direction.
I edited this using Adobe LR again. I love playing around with the tones on the Split toning section. I think I should start creating presets.
Day 45/365
It snowed continuously from thursday evening to saturday afternoon in Colorado.
Think the Denver city had about 16 inches of snow and some other places had upto 40 inches I think. Ok, nobody wants my weather update!!! 🙂

This weekend was quite a drag. I was sick and Frodo had surgery . So, we spent the weekend sleeping and watching TV.I saw a lotta reruns of 30 Rock and this photo was inspired by the episode in which Jon Hamm guest stars. It is about him living in a bubble.
I have a lot of catching up to do with my 365. I want to be caught up by the end of this week.
Day 37/365
This is for this week’s theme of “Shadows” in our flickr Project 52 group.
I have one more idea for this theme and think I’ll try that in the next few days.
Frodo and I took a long walk on the trail today because it was in the 60s around 4 PM. I found quite a few cool places to shoot in. Now, I just have to stop feeling shy and go do it!(before it snows again and covers the whole place with snow) 🙂

My enthusiasm for the 365 has been a little dampened off late and I really want to feel inspired. 😦

Day 30/365
You never know where you’ll find peace !
I did the same shot about a week ago.It was a cold day ,so, I had to use hot water in the tub. This fogged up my lens and all the shots came out blurry 😦 All my effort taking the shot and mopping the bathroom dry was wasted.
But, I really wanted to try it again and I did with the help of my favorite (only available and willing) assistant-My husband. The difficult part was pulling him away from the game on TV. 🙂
I really love the way this has turned out.
P.S I used red food coloring in the water. But I guess I did not use enough.

Day 28/365
Today was Pongal . It is our harvest festival. We cooked a lot of yummy food, had a big meal together and dozed off 😀 That made it a perfect relaxing Sunday as well 😀
